Clinical Pilates

Precision. Control. Strength from the inside out.

At Atherapy, our Clinical Pilates sessions are more than just movement — they’re a targeted approach to rehabilitation, performance, and total-body awareness. Whether you’re recovering from injury, addressing movement dysfunctions, or looking to enhance muscular control, our Pilates programs are tailored to meet your unique needs.

What is Clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates is a physiotherapy-led approach to movement that blends Pilates principles with clinical expertise. Unlike generic Pilates classes, our 1-on-1 sessions can combine mat-based exercises and reformer Pilates to address your body's specific needs and restore balance, stability, and control. Every movement is intentional — designed to correct imbalances, reinforce ideal movement patterns, and build strength where it matters most.

Using precise, low-impact exercises, Clinical Pilates targets deep stabilising muscles, corrects dysfunctional movement patterns, and builds strength from the inside out. Every session is guided by expert physiotherapists who assess your biomechanics, adapt exercises in real-time, and progress your program as your body changes.

It’s an intelligent, intentional form of movement — designed to help you move better, with more control, resilience, and confidence.

Movement Correction & Injury Prevention

Our Clinical Pilates is ideal for clients recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic pain.

By identifying and targeting faulty movement patterns, our Clinical Pilates programs work to:

  • Improve core stability and postural alignment
  • Reduce re-injury risk through motor control retraining
  • Enhance body awareness and movement efficiency

Support and complement your ongoing rehabilitation or injury prevention program

It's particularly effective for:

  • Post-surgical rehab (e.g., ACL, spinal, hip and shoulder procedures)
  • Chronic lower back pain and spinal conditions
  • Pre/post-natal recovery
  • Joint instability and postural dysfunctions

Dynamic Pilates for Performance

For athletes and active individuals, we offer dynamic, performance-focused Pilates designed to:

  • Activate and isolate underperforming muscle groups
  • Improve coordination and kinetic chain control
  • Enhance flexibility, speed, and force transfer
  • Support sport-specific strength and conditioning goals

Whether you’re building back from injury or levelling up your performance, Clinical Pilates at Atherapy offers a powerful, personalised way to reconnect with your body — and move the way it was designed to.

Build strength with control. Move with intention. Perform with confidence.
